WHAT DO WE DO AFTERSCHOOL?

An after-school sport class teaches kids teaches sport literacy, emotional regulation & confidence skills so that kids can thrive in sports in school and extra-curricular lessons. The class focuses on soccer, running techniques, sport mindfulness & emotional regulation skills for kids 5-10 years old.

This is a great foundational class for kids JUST getting started with school sports, or for kids who have struggled to play on a team due to hyper competitive nature, feeling left out, being told they are ‘not athletic’ or simply not having an opportunity to develop their skills because teams are stacked and kids get left out.

OUR GOAL

Our 6 or 8 week program was created to redefine the traditional "gym class" by celebrating each teammates strengths and how it will contribute to the overall aspect of the team.

To help the players be the best athletes they can be, which means developing and understanding of physical literacy, mindfulness through emotional regulation, & mental-resiliency through confidence-building opportunities throughout the season.

THE CLASS

60 Minute (1 hour) classes.

This inclusive class will teach kids how to combine soccer, running, mindfulness, and positive affirmations to be the best athletes they can be. Our 12-week program was created to redefine the traditional "gym class" by celebrating each teammates strengths and how it will contribute to the overall aspect of the team. Weekly take-home mindset activities and a AthletiKids t-shirt to show the new skills unlocked.

    Sign up for the full 8 week/6 week or drop-in (using your flexpass) to attend the classes you want your child to attend.

REMINDER

Parent Participation is not required.

There is an afterschool pickup option for students attending Queen Mary Elementary. Coach Kat will pick students up from Queen Mary at 3pm and walk them over to field for a bathroom/snack break before we start class at 3:15pm with the other players. Parents MUST give written consent to teachers that your child is being picked up weekly by Coach Kat (unless class cancellations or early-dismissal which will be pre-arranged via email).
